Description
Bat to Bed is an addicting action game with 2 key twists that keep you going "Just ONE more run!"
1. In other punishing games, it takes FOREVER to gain progress. This means that each mistake can cost you HOURS of playtime...
Bat to Bed isn't like that. The levels are short and approachable, and you can regain your lost progress VERY quickly. Make no mistake, you WILL rage, but with some well-timed flaps you'll be back up there in no time.
2. Speedrunning and replayability are the core of the game's design. Once you beat the 1st level, you will feel empowered to take it on again and again to improve your Medal times, unlock Achievements and obtain the hardest-to-get Cosmetics that only dedicated players can earn.
Think you can beat level 1?
Only one way to find out...

Ratings and Reviews
Super fun, annoying ending
I really loved this game for the most part; I do not agree with the reviews saying the level design is too frustrating or the frog is too mean lol. Very fun and well-made overall. My only problem is that the ending “race” in level 2 is wayyyy harder than anything else in the game. Tbh it feels like the devs were out of content (which is fine, new levels are coming) but wanted to keep players in-app for ad money, so they stretched the last ~2 minutes of content into ~2 hours by making you replay it a couple hundred times. Perhaps the difficulty spike would feel more earned if anything prior was remotely close to that difficult. Playing thru the whole game up to the race took me ~40 minutes on first attempt, and the 2 minute race took me 2 hours lol. Now nothing in the game is remotely difficult to me except the race which is very hard. Great game overall tho, love how they built on the mechanics of flappy bird and jump king. Oh also the interstitial ad video is pretty cringe, totally agree w others on that.
Developer Response ,
really appreciate the thoughtful review. the funny thing about this game is that some players get REALLY stuck on certain sections that other players breeze right through. I just recently watched a relative of mine beat the race within about 10 minutes of first reaching it, but even I still get stuck on it sometimes! making a section uber-difficult to pad out ad revenue is not at ALL our intent and would be a really bad idea for the health of the game long term. it's far more profitable for us to have people enjoy their experience, tell their friends about it and choose to support the game through ad-removal, just better for everyone that way 👍
Well designed, a little frustrating and too short
There was clearly a lot of care put into the level design, sound effects, and lighting. The mechanics are also very well thought out and simple to learn and hard to master.
My biggest issue is that there is only 1 level at the moment, which I'm sure will change. Additionally, it would've been nice if there was 1 more "checkpoint" area in the 1st level. I fell from basically 90% through all the way back to the start which kinda sucked. Then I beat it the next day and I didn't feel very accomplished

Thanks so much for the thoughtful review and feedback. We just released the 2nd level today, hope it gives you a more satisfying win.
Super fun, bad level design
The gameplay is quite fun and easy to learn, but the game itself is very challenging. As someone who enjoys games like celeste, only up, and getting over it i quite enjoy this game but level one is so poorly designed. The first level is so unforgiving and if you gain any kind of momentum at all you are basically guaranteed to fall all the way down to the beginning. I understand thats the type of game this is, but the ledge placements and enemy placements are quite poor. Because of the lack of movement options you run into unavoidable enemies pretty often. If there is an enemy you cant see in a room above you you just have to hope its not moving where you cant avoid it. This makes the fact that any kind of speed if you are falling all but guarantees you doing to the beginning. Tldr: gameplay is quite enjoyable and addictive, bad level design kills any chance of most people getting into the game.

Appreciate the review. For some clarification though there isn't a single enemy that is 'unavoidable' if you play with the right pace, it sounds like perhaps you are just going up too fast! Going up with a frantic pace will absolutely cause you to get hit and lose progress. Try 'hovering' between two walls until you spot an open path through the obstacles and you will do great. Good luck!
