Description

This is an application based on the drill-and-practice instructional strategy. Similar to memorization, such a strategy presents the tasks to be completed repetitively to build up the foundation skills for more meaningful learning in the future.

This application provides exercises covering basic mathematical skills like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The exercises are targeted for children under 12 years, and sometimes even adults, with varying degrees of difficulty depending on their age.

Upgrade to Basic Math Deluxe to unlock the following features:
- A numeric keypad to enter answers, besides using multiple-choice answers
- Enter values using the usual calculator left-to-right mode, or working style right-to-left mode
- Sound effects
- A times table to practise multiplication tables
- Option to configure max and minimum operand value
- A report card to review your performance in past exercises

Good Application, Just Needs A Few Tweaks

I removed one star because percents aren’t offered. Another was deducted because every time I attempt to check my Report Card, the application abruptly stops and I end up getting kicked out. Both were deducted also for the fact that I can’t adjust how many problems I am able to do per each session, and for the fact that the Tic Tac Toe mode instantly presumes there will be two people playing when it’s only myself. There is no option to change this.

Other than these issues, this application is quite good. I am using it to assist me in brushing off the cobwebs after having sustained five concussions over the course of my life. I used to be excellent at maths, but have been experiencing some challenges with it as my brain heals. I am noticing some improvement with maths the more I use this application.

lied to ,

useful if u dont figure out a trick

I like the fact that you can change the difficulty. But the difficulty doesn't even matter once you figure the trick to solving multiple choice questions. Anyone that can solve basic multiplication can breeze through problems with any amount of digits. Maybe if we had to type in our own answers I would keep this.

Could use some work

This is a good app but only for kids under 10. It would be great If you could make the problems go faster and be able to change the settings. Also to be able to change the level of difficulty would be a great help. It would really help with practicing because then you wouldn't have all this time to think about the problem. Overall this is an okay app as long as it is being used by kids. For people over 10 it is useless. So if you are over 10 and you are the one who is going to be using this app (unless you are really bad and slow at math) don't get it because it would be a total waste of space.
