On the fence? Try it! You won’t regret it.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Barre Definition! I took interest in the program after seeing an ad for the prenatal workouts while pregnant with my 4th baby. After having 3 kids in 3 years prior to this pregnancy, my core was absolutely destroyed. I knew I needed to get strong for this pregnancy and delivery, or it would be much more difficult. I was hesitant, because I hadn’t worked out in about a year and didn’t want to overdo it. I decided to do the free trial week… and loved it! I have never had a better barre workout, even in with nice gym memberships. Plus there are yoga and Pilates based videos, or even just stretching. Each video is labeled with the intensity level and what equipment is needed. This is so helpful on days when I am not at my best and just want a simple workout. I only have managed to get in about 2 workouts per week since 17 weeks. I am now 39 weeks and feel great! My core is stronger than before this pregnancy and I can actually feel my abs engage for the first time in years. I am confident I am ready for delivery. I am also excited to start the new postnatal program soon. For a tiny fraction of what I would have spent to get back in the gym after baby, I am already in great shape and can continue after my little one arrives. All this to say, just try it! I definitely have no regrets and will recommend it to anyone I know looking for a good exercise program.

I’m not even a girly girl…

I’m not a girly girl. I was in the military and never took a dance class in my life… BUT this app is awesome! I love Jacquelyn, the owner and instructor. She makes the classes easy and the workouts fun. They aren’t so fancy-dancy hard that I dread working out and there are harder/ easier/quicker options depending on what I have going on for the day. She has recipes with options like keto, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian and programs if you’re interested in a specific workout type- like prenatal, pelvic floor, 100-rep challenges, etc. or wellness challenges like habit transformation or nutrition challenges. I’m not sure how the app used to be set up but once you start the trial and/or pay for it, everything is included. She has a little shop with her own version of ankle weights, bands, yoga mats, Pilates ball, clothing, etc. for purchase. Not sure if that’s what everyone is complaining about, but the woman is running a business not a charity. I will be supporting her by buying her products because this app is just that awesome. I have started using it when I can’t get to the gym, a yoga class or when traveling (which I do a lot). Do yourself a favor and invest in it. It’s totally worth it. And don’t listen to the one-star reviewers who can’t figure out that they started two trials then complain when they didn’t cancel both and got charged. I’ve only had it for a few weeks but I’m totally hooked!

Great Workouts for Pregnancy!

I first found this app when scrolling Instagram. I was in the beginning stages of pregnancy and was an avid weight lifter and pickleball player unsure of how my workouts would look later on in my pregnancy. The app was reasonably priced so decided to switch up my training and try it out. Honestly, I was not expecting it to be as challenging as it is! I guess I expected something minimal and low intensity because I was doing the pregnancy program but I was SO wrong. As someone who has been lifting weights for years, I thought using body weight for some these workouts would be a piece of cake but I can truly say that I have not had workouts this challenging. The program has a great mix of yoga, barre, pelvic floor exercises, and pilates. I started the pregnancy program in my first trimester and now I am halfway through my third trimester feeling more flexible and stronger than I did before I was pregnant! This app has been a huge support during my pregnancy journey and brings a huge relief that I dont have to worry about what exercises are safe during each stage of pregnancy. The app is super easy to use and Jacquelyn is so motivating and encouraging in all of her videos. I will definitely continue using this app after my pregnancy, I can only imagine how much more challenging the non-pregnancy programs will be and I'm excited for that!
