Apex Protect GPS 4+

Never had an issue until today, when I log into the app and go to the vehicle location, it doesn’t give me a details of the map. I deleted the app and downloaded it again to see if that would fix the issue it did not! I even restarted my phone & logged out of the app but the problem won’t get fix. I also wish they would implement a report feedback button within the app but there isn’t. Please fix the bug not too sure why it’s not working for me all of my location services are on as well and I do have a subscription to able to track the location as well.

I purchased a new RV trailer and thought this would be awesome just in case it was stolen. Well if it was to get stolen, I’d never know it unless I looked out my back door! Tracking information is off so much of the time. I’m supposed to get a email and text alerts when things aren’t right or the trailer has been moved. It’s been offline for 15 days now and I had just taken it in to the dealership for warranty repair so it should have reported the movement, but it didn’t. This is the 3rd time it’s gone offline and I’ve had to call Apex to get them to try to get it to report its location. It takes them hours and even over a day to get it to where it’s communicating again. In that time my trailer could be stripped down or the Aoex device found and destroyed. Right now I just wish I could cancel my 5 year contract with them and find something better.

Final words, look elsewhere for GPS protection. This is totally junk.

As other reviews have noted, the tracking is nowhere near “real time”. It commonly says my wife’s car was in our driveway “updated 2 minutes ago”, when I know she has already dropped off our kids at daycare and is at work. To say this service is unreliable would be an understatement.

Find yourself a better gps tracking system. The company has agreements with car dealerships to pay them for each sale; so dealerships pop em on your car and then try to pass that cost on to you. Just say no, as we did. You didn’t ask to have this terrible service installed, and if the dealership wants your business they will not charge you for it (mine tried to sneak it in for $800 for a 5 year Apex plan!). I told them they will not be getting my business like that and they removed the $800 and I have a year of the Apex service for free (although as bad as the tracking is, I don’t really care).
