antisocial: hang up & hang out 4+

First of all let me say that I have tried so many productivity apps and was very skeptical about antisocial- I really only tried it because the logo is so cute and wanted to try blocking myself out of social media for short periods of time. This app worked SO WELL. I do a lot of work on my phone, and often get side tracked because I’m distracted by social media, so the structure of the app was very appealing to me. I started off setting short timers, which was good for when I really needed to focus, but once I worked up to longer ones it was a total game changer. It’s shocking to realize how much time I mindless scroll on social media apps, and having to pay to unlock a timer really made me acknowledge how often I just open these out of habit. I’m so glad I downloaded Antisocial! I can’t recommend it enough!

I’ve set sessions to focus on work, and also to hang out with my partner. It was a bit startling how often I’d reach for my phone to go on the apps I had blocked. Having to pay to end early really incentivizes me to stay off my phone. And also the fox is really cute.

This is the only productivity app that actually keeps me off my phone when I need to lock in. Been a huge help at work
