Description

An Idle Planet is an engaging incremental game where the objective is to generate enough power to sustain the entire planet. The game challenges the player to strategically buy and upgrade different types of generators to increase their power output and ultimately reach the goal of powering the entire planet.

As you progresses through the game, they earn watts which can be used to purchase new generators or upgrade existing ones. Each generator has its own unique characteristics and provides a different level of power output. You must carefully balance your resources to ensure they are maximizing their power generation potential.

The game features a sleek and intuitive interface that makes it easy for you to manage your generators and track your progress towards your goal of powering the world. Additionally, the game offers various achievements and rewards for reaching specific milestones, providing an extra layer of motivation for you to optimize, optimize, optimize.

Game came to a standstill

Game does not idle at all while application is closed. Prices have gotten so high that I can no longer do anything.

Needs a lot of Work

This has the absolute bare bones workings of any idle game, but there are some serious flaws that need fixing before it stands on its own well.

Flaws:
-Time does not tick while the player scrolls in the app.
-Time does not tick while the player is not actively in the app.
-Automating power scales so quickly that after the first 50 taps, manual tapping is worthless.
-The scaling costs of each power type escalate so fast, and the range between different power types mean it is almost always ideal to grab 3-5 of a given type and just wait until you can afford the next type. -One wind turbine costs 1/5 of what it generates in one second, which is just absurd.
-The descriptions for upgrades are completely cut-off, and there is no way to expand them to see what you’re actually upgrading.
-The game lacks any sort of story, depth, or even strategy. It can be beaten with literal seconds of effort spread over many minutes of doing nothing.
-The user interface is just… bad. It feels very “straight from the template” cookie cutter, and is not visually appealing like many other idle games.

Strengths:
-I like the concept of power types disappearing after a set amount of time. This isn’t a unique concept, but it is underused in the genre.
-I like the concept and visuals in the statistics panel.

Not really sure

I’m not entirely sure what I’m supposed do. Maybe a tutorial would help. Numbers get to high to fast. And it’s not an idle game, as in it does not idle. But it just needs some work, so 4 stars!
