Description

Alkeme Health is the destination for the Black community to access the wellness tools needed to empower, heal, inspire, and thrive today while improving generational health for tomorrow. Featuring curated courses and meditations from Black practitioners and respected experts in wellness, including psychology and mindfulness, we are tackling the issues that are historically left unaddressed by healthtech, such as intergenerational trauma, systemic racism, anxiety, and microaggressions.

Multiple Paths. One Journey.

While modern mental health care apps focus primarily on meditation, Alkeme is pairing Waves, our guided meditations and audio therapies, with Labs, well-being courses led by Black therapists. Managing your mental health is a lifelong journey—we want to make sure you have as many paths as possible.

On Your Time. On Your Terms.

Hold space for your healing when you’re ready. Alkeme delivers new Labs and Waves modules weekly that are available to consume at your own pace, delivering a curated experience that works best for your everyday life.

Black today. Black tomorrow.

Alkeme Labs and Waves can be helpful to anyone but we are very clear on who it has been specifically curated for. Black people face unique stresses in daily life, leading to high rates of untreated chronic stress, trauma, depression and anxiety. We have selected a team of expert Black therapists to address these topics through the many lenses of the Black experience.

Topics Covered

Stress & Anxiety, Grief & Loss , Self Awareness & Self Development, Gratitude and Joy, Family and Friend Dynamics, Love + Intimacy and Relationships, Racial Trauma and Microaggressions, Depression, and more.

Become an Alkeme Gold member to unlock unlimited access to Labs and Waves.

A treasure for black mental health

This app is a great tool and resource for me. I am a childhood trauma survivor and right at the beginning of the pandemic my youngest brother suddenly died from a brain aneurysm. His death triggered deep buried trauma in me. I started seeing a grieve therapy which evolved to trauma therapy. I still see my therapist — we engage in talk therapy and she gives me tools and techniques to work with my body. I am healing!!

This app however is amazing because it’s Black therapist with more tools and techniques I can use between sessions with my therapist.

I’m grateful for this app. I deeply appreciate it.

Their array of videos covers so many topics from family relationships, internal healing, to even the experience of being a black person and perceived in ways that are outside of who you really are. I have r really been helped by their content and all the doctors, therapists etc they showcase. Please check it out. I believe they will be very helpful and gen healing.

I absolutely love Alkeme, so important to have…

For a long time I’ve searched for a space talking about black mental health and how to work through our trauma. I have followed Alkeme for a while on instagram, so I was excited to learn they had an app specifically curated around black mental health. I love this app and I’ve subscribed monthly to support and take advantage of the great tools offered. I absolutely love listening to the Waves daily. 😊
