Akiflow Time Blocking Calendar 4+

Let me start by saying I’ve tried every calendar/task manager/time clocking app that exists, and until now the price of Akiflow has scared me away from really giving it a good try.

Well I pulled the plug and tried it and it has solved almost all my issues.

There are just a small handful of things I’d love to see implemented:

1. If I’m syncing todoist with multiple projects, I’d love to be able to separate the projects and not have them all in one list - with this comes if I move a task from a project to a different one, it should sync that way. And third, if I create a task in Akiflow, it should also be added to todoist.
There are not deal breakers because I do have ways around, it would just be nice to have proper sync.

2. Swiping works, but the day page is blank until you release and resets - this is messing with my ADHD. There’s a small “refresh” that happens instead of having the data already there like in literally every other calendar app.
This is not a deal breaker for now, but I’m not sure I can get used to it since, again, all other apps are more smooth within this category.

3. I’m sure this is being worked on, but, the app tends to have features stop working, like drag and drop tasks onto calendar, or move an event, and I have to force quit the app and reopen it and then it just works again.

4. Request, not an issue - support attachments and rich content like map templates etc. if someone send me a calendar event and there’s a document attached (mainly Google doc), it would be nice to have that attachment supported - this is different than an embed link.

Quite honestly, to me personally, if these 4 were solved, I could give up all other calendars and task apps that I use and it would be worth it.

I’ve used the Akiflow iOS app since its beta days, and they’ve done a nice job of taking an insanely feature-rich desktop app and making it elegantly manageable with your thumbs. Occasionally I’ve heard complaints on the interwebs that it’s either confusing — which I absolutely don’t get, as I’ve found it intuitive to use since early days — or it’s missing some elements of its big brother, which it of course *has* to and should or it would be a mess. What’s left is still far more than you’ll find in most mobile task managers. It’s attractive, snappy, robust, and most of all, Akiflow: among the very best Daily Planner apps, and the clear leader among time-blocking task/calendar combinations. Well worth checking out!

I have been using the app for a few months now and have been finding it incredibly helpful. However, when I was trying to use my phone today, the widget was defunct and couldn’t find it anywhere. Not sure if it’s a bug or if it was completely removed, but the widget was incredibly useful. Please bring it back!
