Ratings and Reviews
This is not an autoimmune diet
I was very optimistic when I saw this app. I have autoimmune problems that cause severe eczema and I’ve been looking for a food plan and recipes that are easy, healthy and delicious. The app does many things right including meal planning, a link to creating an automatic shopping list and a place to
store favorite recipes. Unfortunately, many of the recipes include nightshades, spices and other ingredients that trigger severe autoimmune/allergic reactions (like tomatoes & cayenne pepper).
Prohibited foods in photos
When you do an elimination diet you are supposed to eliminate things like corn and cheese. The first photos I saw showed corn and parmesan cheese! I would have given it 1 star but the recipes did look delicious!
NOT AIP
I did AIP in 2018 and felt the best I ever had in my life. It was also one of the most difficult things I’d ever done for my health, as I spent a ton of time researching, grocery shopping and testing recipes. I was hoping that this would streamline the process and make it less daunting (and perhaps less expensive), but it has done quite the opposite. AIP removes any potentially inflammatory foods, which includes legumes and grains. My first suggested breakfast was nuts. Second day was oatmeal. Almost every meal had fruit. This is not AIP.
