AHS: American Home Shield 4+

A Home warranty will seriously save your life financially. Consider it pre paying for things that WILL go wrong if you own a home. And in some cases like mine they start going wrong at the same time. Whew…. Thank God I have this warranty boy. I honestly would be in big trouble without it. Unless you’re interested in a 5-$10,000 bill all at once I definitely suggest you invest in a home warranty and Home Shield has been easy to access for the problem and they get somebody out to you right away. I’m very thankful to have it.

I’m extremely dissatisfied with the service I received. I reported a leak I identified to the plumber a crack in my tub as the source of a leak, but the plumber insisted it was an issue with the shower head leaking into the back wall. I specifically tested by running water in the tub only (not the shower), and after some time, water began draining from the crack—just as I initially stated. Despite this, the plumber dismissed my concerns and was more interested in leaving quickly than resolving the issue.

I contacted American Home Shield to request a different plumber, yet they sent the same individual, someone I had already expressed dissatisfaction with. This was incredibly frustrating. The service was unhelpful, and I was charged $125 for absolutely nothing. I will be switching home warranty providers, as AHS has consistently ignored my requests and failed to provide adequate assistance.

This company is a joke. Our heater broke, and after sending a technician who immediately said we needed a full replacement, they did NOTHING to fix it. Despite paying our monthly fees, we got absolutely no help for 45 days. They even told us we had to replace the entire heater, but did no work to help us in the meantime.

Frustrated, we finally hired our own technician who fixed the heater for 1/10th of what AHS quoted for a replacement. But the worst part? When we tried to cancel our service, they continued deducting monthly payments from our account. We were told they couldn’t refund us because "that’s their policy."

AHS is a total scam. Terrible technicians, awful customer service, and no accountability. Save yourself the headache and avoid them at all costs!
