Description
a11yTools is a collection of HTML Web Accessibility Testing Tools in one location in a Safari Extension used for quick and easy Accessibility testing. Run your favorite Accessibility testing tool and then take a screenshot showing the a11y error to developers and designers.
a11yTools is a one-at-a-time testing tool where you pick the HTML Accessibility element or feature you’re testing once-per-page rather than running all tests together. Test and results can be stacked on top each other e.g. to show both Headings and Image Alt Text Properties.
How To Use a11yTools: Visit the webpage you want to test then click the a11yTools button and add the a11yTool you want. Also use the Right-Click Context Menu to access all the a11yTools.
New: Copy Screenshot feature takes a screenshot of the visible browser window area and copies it to the Clipboard so you can then quickly paste into JIRA tickets and Accessibility Reports.
Watch the 3 App Previews to see how the extension works.
Reset the Page to remove the a11yTools output without reloading the site.

Ratings and Reviews
No color contrast checker
It appears that checking color contrast is missing from this extension. Disappointing.
Just getting Started
Loaded and enabled. I love how this makes it easy for me to work through the check list and to break down elements on a website without getting into the weeds.
Truly amazing!
Not working
So far I have not been able to get it to validate web pages designed on my local desktop. If this tool cqan only check published sites I can do that with a host of free tools.
as a designer this is not functional.
Developer Response ,
Apple does not allow Safari Extensions to run on local html files on your hard drive. As a workaround you can create a localhost web server with Terminal, visit the directory, run "python -m SimpleHTTPServer", then open the same local file in your browser at http://0.0.0.0:8000 and you can now run a Safari Extension on the local HTML content.

FYI: You can use my JavaScript Bookmarklets from http://www.pauljadam.com on local html files and that will work unlike Safari Extensions.
Hope this helps!
Thanks!
