Description
AZ511 works in conjunction with the Arizona Department of Transportation's AZ511.gov, the Arizona Traveler Information website, to provide the latest information on conditions along the state highway system. Users will receive information on delays, crashes, construction and closures, as well as alternate routes to help drivers avoid backups. Motorists may view ADOT’s statewide network of cameras on the app. Drivers can get real-time information on their routes by entering their destinations into the app. Travelers may also save regularly used routes and receive alerts along those routes.
The app includes these features:
• Traffic cameras
• Real-time updates on highway incidents and delays
• Personalized routes
• Travel times
• Alternate routes
• Drive mode
• Speed map
Reminders:
It is not safe to use your phone while driving. Please enter drive mode for audio alerts while on the road.
Suggested alternate routes shown on az511.gov are generated automatically by a third party and can include local roads. For official ADOT alternate routes, which in most cases will involve state highways, please consult ADOT’s Twitter account at twitter.com/ArizonaDOT and the information provided by the free ADOT Alerts app at ADOTAlerts.com.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE DRIVERS: Large trucks are prohibited on State Route 89A between Flagstaff and Sedona, State Route 89A between Clarkdale and Prescott Valley, and State Route 89 between Prescott and US 93 northwest of Wickenburg.

Ratings and Reviews
Navigating App
Not at all intuitive. Trying to get back to previous page unsuccessful. Where to sign up for text alerts?
Improved
You don’t have to set up an account. It’s good for directions when there’s construction. There are warnings about construction and it gives you options. You can get details and select a route. I didn’t like the old version but this one is good.
Complete disservice to safety.
Besides it being the only dot/511 app that has an ad, it requires you to create an account or log in as a guest. It offers no snow plow tracking, no chain up requirements at which mile makers and it doesn’t show snow conditions on the road. Absolutely useless app for truckers and motorists. The weather radar is a nice touch. This app has a lot of work to do before it be comes something that truckers and motorists can rely on, let alone use.
