此app为细菌名称翻译词典，使用者可通过该词典查询细菌的拉丁文学名或中文名称。该词典的特色是：
1）给出了学名的英语音标，方便国人发音及与国外人交流；
2）给出了每个属所在的阶梯式分类系统，以便读者快速掌握该属所在的分类地位；
3）给出了属的模式种的模式菌株的编号及主要保藏处所、文献来源，以方便读者获取该菌株；
4）增加了种加词索引及中译名的索引，以便快速查到某菌株；
5）列出了一些菌种的分类地位变化情况，只译出最新的分类地位的菌种名称
