“新桂阳”客户端是由桂阳县政府联合湖南日报社共同打造的移动新媒体产品。充分利用湖南日报社开发建设的“新湖南云”数据资源，实现与“新湖南云”互联共融，共享新湖南云稿库、政务云数据等，突出“宣传+服务”功能，凸显“共建+互通”优势。
“新桂阳”客户端是宣传桂阳县政策的主平台，发布桂阳信息的主窗口，推介桂阳形象的主渠道，引导桂阳舆论的主阵地。“新桂阳”APP不仅设置了头条、党建、产经、人文、郴州、精选等多个频道，还综合应用文字、图片、动图、H5、直播、视频、全景VR等新技术手段，打造全新的县区宣传融媒体产品，是桂阳人的“掌上精神家园”。
