Description
We are currently testing, with the help of a few local clubs, the new instructions for submitting lists of club members.
This app showcases photos made by amateur photography clubs.
It serves as a permanent online exposition that aims to cover numerous clubs. Clubs can be found by browsing, searching, and via built-in interactive maps. Club members can be found by name, keyword, or club affiliation.
Clubs can add themselves by making their membership list and links to their photos available online. These online JSON files can also be used to generate portfolio pages for existing club web sites. The app is open source.
What’s New
Version 2.7.2
DOCUMENTATION
• Created 7-step instructions (in Documentation directory on GitHub) for creating new level2.json files.
• Rewrote app description for the App Store.
PORTFOLIOS and CLUBS-AND-MUSEUMS SCREENS
• Added two demo clubs (XampleMin and XampleMax). They are used in instructions for adding new clubs.
PREFERENCES SCREEN
• Forced a one-time full data refresh when version 2.7.2+ is first run. This resets the content of the in-app database.
• Changed app's default preference to only show current members.
CODE MAINTENANCE
• Tested on iOS 18.3.1, Xcode 16.2, macOS 15.3.1 and SwiftLint 0.58.2
• Added documentation in README.md for coming Keyword feature in Level 0 and Level 2 files.
• Added support for a contactEmail field for technical contact if there is an issue with a club's Level2.json file.
• Migrated to String Catalogs for supporting multiple languages.
• Database refresh covers 3 more tables (Keyword, LocalizedKeyword, PhotographerKeyword).
DATA MAINTENANCE
• Data updates for club fgDeGender.
• Added 2 new clubs: fcAFCReusel, fcBrandevoort.
• Data updates for club fgWaalre.
• Created two demo Level 2 files: XampleMin.level2.json and XampleMax.level2.json.
• Set Core Data debugging according to https://useyourloaf.com/blog/debugging-core-data/
• Removed 2 clubs used only for demo purposes (they will hopefully show up again in the future).
