Description

Fight the social media algorithms and win back control over your social media usage & your subconsciousness!

“one sec” forces you to take a deep breath whenever you open one of the configured websites or apps (Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram,…). This breaks unconcious social media habits short-term (literally, as soon as you have set it up) and even helps long-term by adding more friction when opening these websites and apps.

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present: Did you really want to open Instagram?
This app helps you to reflect your actions, thoughts, and feelings; disrupting harmful social media habits with mindfulness.

Available Subscription Options:
one sec pro (annual / lifetime unlock)

What’s New

Version 1.3.2

- Fixes an issue where the app would crash when attempting to add a new app.
- Layout improvements.
- Fixes an issue where the system would ask for permission that one sec can access its app group storage.
- Hopefully this also fixes the issue where the menu bar icon would remain blank after a restart of the system.

Really helps with impulse opening apps

This app really helped me with my Tiktok and Instagram addiction. Now half of the time i dont get on those apps.

No App switching in the free version

I really liked the idea of taking a breath before opening the addictive apps and getting reminded of how many times I opened that app in the last 24 hours. Yet, free version is more like a burden rather than help because I hate getting interrupted while I was already using the app because there is no app switching option in the free version.
I understand that the developers need to earn money from this app and I respect that you don’t sell our data. But it would be a big commitment to buy the app just to try whether it really helps in the long term or if I can adapt to get stopped everytime I open this app. I wish there was a trial period for the premium.

I love it but there's a big problem

When i'm wandering at a website and clicking stuff it randomly says it's restricted so you can't look. App doesn't have to do that it's so random and it's so annoying.
