Other Models like Phi, Gemma and OpenLM
Google’s Gemma, Microsoft’s Phi and Apple’s OpenLM should be supported. Model downloads should not start automatically upon launching the app, and the user should be prompted to download a model instead: “This appp requires a model to chat with. Would you like to download one now?”.
Incompatible models should display a warning.
Devices supporting Apple Intelligence and on-device AI should directly use that built-in LLM by default.
Voice chat and document summarization should be added. It should be possible to request the LLM to browse the web and fetch data to provide better responses.
