Bu çalışmanın genel amacı ilkokul çocuklarını iklim okuryazarı olmaya hazırlamaktır. İklim değişikliği eğitiminin amacı, bu alandaki temel ilkeleri anlamak, krizin etkilerini farketmek, önlemlerin (enerji tasarrufu, su tasarrufu, karbon ayakizi azaltımı, bisiklet kullanma, yeşil alan sistemlerinin güçlendirilmesi, güvenli atık yönetimi vb.) neler olacağına dair bilgilenmek ve eylem için bilinçli davranışlara yönelmektir.
