Biblia Takatifu refers to the Holy Bible in Swahili.

The translation of the Bible into Swahili began in the early 19th century with efforts by Christian missionaries. The first complete Bible in Swahili was published in 1890. The Swahili Bible plays a big role in the religious life and cultural heritage of the Swahili-speaking people.

The complete version of the Swahili Bible, also called Biblia Takatifu, was published in 1890 by the British and Foreign Bible Society. Some of the famous translations are Biblia Neno, Biblia Habari Njema, Biblia Takatifu, and Biblia Ya Kiswahili.
