Manet Music 4+

Looks promising but…

Looks like a well created app. Nice clean stock look. But I’m having a problem with playback of my files. App keeps crashing hard to springboard, full crash.

Tried contacting the dev, with debuglog and movieclip of this issue but no response yet. Will update this review if he replies.

UPDATE: fixed in the latest version. Now truly 5*

Amazing

Outstanding app. Tried almost all Jellyfin Music players I could find, this one is by far the best. Looks and feels like a first party Apple app. One thing that I would like is the ability to hide playlists. Jellyfin keeps creating random playlists of albums I have. Deleting them on the server side only works for a couple of hours. Would be great to just hide individual lists in the app.

I think you might have playlist files in your library somewhere that Jellyfin finds when it syncs after you remove them. You could search in your library folders and remove those files and they should stop reappearing.

Could be better

App ui is well designed, I got Manet+ on my iPhone (which has the same issues) so tried this mac app. The app looks fine, but crashes when fast forwarding through my tracks, and thereby is unusable at this moment.

I mailed the dev, will update this review if things get fixed.

Hi there!

Skipping through tracks many tracks should no longer crash the app, and should also work faster. I'm not sure if this was your issue, or if you have an issue with seeking through long tracks. Hopefully this fixes your use-case at least, I'm going to look into the seeking issue in the coming months.
