- Escape the encroaching black mist by moving to safe tiles and defeating enemies.
- Collect appropriate Spells and Relics to complete your own deck and defeat increasingly powerful monsters.
- Prepare Spells and Elements to prepare new skills.
- Hold all acquired Spells in your hand and use Elements drawn to cast them.
- Adjust the ratio of Elements to make it easier to use your desired Spells.
- Collect Ether Elements to increase the number of Elements you can use.

- Hold various Spells to adapt to threatening situations. In Lost Pages, deck compression is not always the solution.
- Combine Spells and buffs to create your own skill combos.

A ridiculously high quality deckbuilding roguelike

Lost Pages is a roguelike deckbuilder (so yeah it’s like slay the spire). Unlike in slay the spire however, you have access to all of your cards every turn! The twist is that the type of mana you get each turn is randomized (there are four types in this game). What this does for me, subjectively, is amplify the deckbuilding aspect of the game.

Because you can use your strongest spells way more consistently it makes you feel like you are in control. Beating harder difficulties becomes about building up ridiculous combos in your deck, and getting to pick a new spell after every single combat means you have more than enough chances to get that one awesome move.

Right now this game has only 1 review on the app store. Considering the amount of content, the quality of the graphics/animations, the presence of an actual storyline, and most importantly: satisfying gameplay, it seems almost criminal for this game to not be more well-known. And it’s free! So take my word for it and go try it out yourself.
