Great thermostat, great app, no privacy worries

Ecobee is a great thermostat and the app works very well on both iPhone and iPad. And you don't have to worry about privacy like with Nest and Google

Underdelivers….

I love my ecobee thermostats - they’re sooo much better than the Nest thermostat that I had. But the app woefully underdelivers, and has many design failures.
Amongst others: Celsius and Fahrenheit units are not used consistently in the app, which is confusing. And there are lots of settings and options available on the thermostat but not on the app - like letting the fan run for 15 minutes.
The look and feel of the app is nice and complements the thermostat fine, but under delivering on features is just not fair.

You can only do the essentials, nothing fancy
