Kaku is a Japanese learning app for beginners to intermediate users. It assists with sentence structure by combining various tools into one app:
- A translator for live feedback on your sentence construction
- Jisho.org dictionary lookup for highlighted Japanese or English words
- Inline Translate (⌘ + I) for any highlighted sentences
- Conjugate highlighted nouns, verbs, or adjectives to different forms
- Shadow Reader with audio output, highlighting the spoken text
- Saved sheets that sync between your iPhone and iPad for easy access
- Common word lists in various categories
- Clipboard auto-translate for quick meaning of copied text snippets
- Reader Mode for improved readability on larger screens
- Widgets for immersive study with rotating Japanese words and definitions
