This digital notepad and PDF markup tool covers all the bases. Create notes with your keyboard or Apple Pencil: the app transforms your hand-drawn shapes into perfect ones, and can even convert your handwriting to text.

The best of all worlds

This is really great...it has both the vertical and horizontal scrolling option - this is were it took its stars from me. I am a student , who is always on the go, the filling system works great and even the OCR . The only downside for this app is, it has a little bit of lag in each and everything I chose, there is a handwriting change , it lags than goodnotes 4, why is that . Yes, I know this is a newly released app so this might be rectified soon but this bothers me. Kudos, to the team. I hope it increases the fluidity of writing and user interface.

Great app but lacks key features

I’ve been using Goodnotes to study for 10 months and 7 hours a day. It is significantly easier than using pen and paper but for a digital note taking app i feel like it lacks key features like:
Instead of copy-pasting with the lasso i want to be able to duplicate, the laser tool is only one color which is red, you can’t import GIFS or Videos in your notes, the audio recording tool records your writing per stroke so it doesn’t record the way you write.

I feel like the most important features it lacks out of the above are importing videos or gifs alongside of duplicating with the lasso tool. as a digital note taking app, it is supposed to be easier than P&P.
