In need of improvement
The App works, but could be a lot better. For example, the annoying „You have missed 1447 alarm messages...“ needs to shut off when all the detections are off. Maybe it‘s annoying so you pay a fortune for Cloud storage that nobody really needs.
The „Intelligent“ Tracking is rather stupid and so the camera plays „Hunter - Killer“ most of the day, and ignores the dogs as they walk by. The trees outside, and the cars that drive past once in a while, are more interesting. There‘s also a 3-4 second delay in movement of the camera, although sound is „live“ with only milliseconds of delay.
You can add Presets that will move the camera to a set position (to cover a door, or show a stairway) which is ok. Unfortunately the developer has forgotten to add a „Zoom“ setting, so if the camera was zoomed in on something (up to 4x digital zoom) it stays at that zoom.
The camera only works on 2.4Ghz, which has nothing to do with the App. The phone only has to have network access (2.4 or 5Ghz). Mine is permanent on 5Ghz, and the App and camera work without problem.
This app was going well. ..
But now the app is broken. One camera with paid subscription is still working but the one with free connection broke after lasted updates. Is that intentional? I can connect it successfully and then it immediately breaks connection. The break happens just after stating ‘success’ and when paid options are presented and ‘Not Now’ is selected. Wired connection is working.
Update: after a week of stable LAN connection the wireless connection is now also working again since one week without new connection. Raising the stars in hope 🙃
It works
Tricky at first to set up, but after that just incredible. So easy to use, great great pictures/video. Plus the speaker is really good/ you can talk to the intruder and hear them. Then the Police Siren ... how good is that. Taking pictures and storing them remotely on you IPhone is a doddle. I have not bothered with the cloud service yet or fitted the SD card, I will, but it works just fine on command. With the SD card fitted it will automatically record an alarm situation. You can select which sections of the frame trigger recording. I am stunned by this device. I do recommend
