Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery 4+

I normally don’t write reviews but this time i want to suggest an idea for this app. App itself is great and comfortable to use but there is one but. Developers, I wonder why i cant rate the ride after finishing. I thought you normally rate something after you receive it? Please, allow the chance to rate after the ride. Thank you.

If you’re in Uzbekistan, use one of the many other apps- Wolt for food my taxi for taxis.

The customer service is horrendous. Unless you book a comfort plus taxi (which most of the time are ok and drive sensible) expect dirty taxis and bad driving (when I say bad, it is the worst I have experienced after living in over 10 countries. .

In terms of food delivery, don’t expect any help when your order is wrong/arrives cold. They will do nothing about it and you will have the pleasure of paying for this service. They do not care if the wrong item is delivered, or if your food sits in a bag for over 25-30 minutes and then arrives cold. They do not listen to you and if items are missing- in my experience they still make you pay and do nothing about it. If you ask them to redeliver or refund you when food is cold- they simply refuse and sometimes say they will look for a solution in a few days?!?
I am not talking a little cold, I mean stone cold! They also do not care if the food they send is really poor quality- you will get a response the pick from a list.

I have used many delivery services: Talabat, Uber eats, Deliveroo, just eat and never received such bad customer service. They really need to sort themselves out, this has happened over 20 times in 6 months to me, I am finally done using their app for any food- because I can’t eat half of what arrives anyway!

Now that Moscow has a massive fleet of licensed cabs, getting around is significantly easier (and arguably safer). This app - in English - is easy to navigate and fairly reliable. At least drivers are almost unable to cheat the system.

But expect drivers to still try and demand cash, even if you pay by card; some ignore the maps and drive into traffic jams, others insist on loud radios and smoking - whether you’ve asked them to stop or not. Then there’s the usual ‘standard’ of Russian driving to endure. Drivers also lack the common sense to watch the road instead of the app - missing turnings or taking circuitous routes.

Vehicle tracking in the app is increasingly hit-and-miss. Cars either aren’t being pinpointed accurately, or drivers hang about for a smoke for several minutes before bothering to collect you.
