Upwork for Freelancers 4+

You apply to as many jobs that fit your skill set while spending all your connects, they wait for you to run out of theses and have to spend money getting more just to apply for a job...in which they take 20% of your hard earned cash on top of that.

I feel like they only care about making money from you without helping you get jobs coming in.

I wish they would work with you instead of just grabbing what money they can off you.

And most of the time people posting jobs either expect an Expert level designer for less than $1 per hour... and on top of all that most of the time they don’t post examples of the style they want so when you apply you end up wasting your connects because they don’t want your style.

Unless you earn over $100 you can withdraw your money so you try getting another job to top it up to over $100 and absolutely no one will hire you unless you have over 100hours or on their special list...

I do however like that you can scroll through the job listings and pick what fits you best (when examples are given)

Found this site through google, I have tried Fiver & People per hour and wanted various options searching for someone who can design my business logo. The site would display a list of freelance workers along side their raitings/reviews. It wouldn’t let me see the freelancers work unless I made an account. It is very confusing because after filling my details to create an account I now have a freelance account which I didn’t ask for. There is no option to search for a freelance worker on both the browser page and app. I have never had so much difficulty trying to search for something so simple. There is no clear information suggesting that there are 2 separate apps one for freelancers and another for clients. When I clicked the link to create an account it took me straight to the freelancer option even though I am looking for someone to design. I downloaded (up work for clients) app and when I log in it takes me straight back to (up work for freelancers) again. There is no option to deactivate my account so it’s a constant loophole. I’ve wasted more time trying to get off this app than finding someone right for the job. Avoid this app it is terrible

I registered in this company as a freelancer, as it sells itself as a platform for DIGITAL NOMAD, but they do not explain when you are registering that you cannot use the address of the country you are currently in (there are companies that need you to deliver a project urgently, but if your time zone doesn't match with the information about where you are at the moment, they probably won't accept it, which doesn't make any sense!!!) . I was trying to understand this, when my login was BLOCKED!!! I tried to contact support which is a machine and obviously it was unsuccessful. So I got in touch on Instagram because I know that normally machines don't answer the messages, I thought they could help me, but the poor man BLOCKED me ON INSTAGRAM instead of trying to help me!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TRASH PLATFORM TO ANYONE!!! Imagine even if you don't carry out work they can't resolve it, imagine wasting hours of your day doing a project and having a problem and not receiving your money and trying to contact this company. THEY DO NOT HAVE SUPPORT AT ALL!!
