Ratings and Reviews
Does What It Says
It does upscale content to 2K and does a fine job of preserving details but don’t expect it to enhance the visuals. The developer hasn’t claimed that it adds details so it’s a fine choice to change resolution but not what I’m looking for. Simple UI and relatively fast.
Takes ages, no idea what it's doing
There is no feedback on what this app is doing to your file. It rotates through various lines of text, like, "Splitting atoms..." and "Expanding professional network..." Hardly professional.
If this is supposed to be an easy way of upscaling a video file, you need to tell us what it's doing. There should be a progress bar so we know how long an operation will take. Where is it going to save the output file?
Why does the app quit *without asking for confirmation* if I click the red close button while an upscale is in progress? What if I didn't mean to quit the app? I now have to start that operation from scratch; everything is lost.
This might be a good app, but I just can't tell. It needs improvement.
Astonishing!
Having been using Topaz AI to upscale videos for ages, I was intrigued to try out an alternative. The results were incredible: what would take Topaz around four hours to render took a mere three minutes!
As someone who has to deal with a lot of archive video, which is frequently not at the correct resolution for editing, this is going to be a massive time-saver in post-production.
The developer is also very friendly and responsive to queries and feedback.
Highy recommended!
