Ultimate Cribbage: The Classic 4+

I’ve always loved playing cribbage, ever since my dad taught me how to play. When on holiday we would often play and sometimes even compete as a pair. I’ve looked through the App Store for a good cribbage app but didn’t find any without tons of adverts. This popped up as an ad in another game I was playing and I thought I’d give it a go. I’m glad I did. This game is awesome. The game play is relatively easy if you know how to play and it will autocount your score, this function can be deselected and will tell you if you’ve miss counted. I’ve played it for at least 2 hours and only had to watch 1 advert in full and there haven’t been too many other interruptions either.

As a suggestion to the developers it would be good if you added an explanation of some of the terms you’ve used in the game and maybe a tutorial to teach non players. Love this app!!!

Do not use this app.

It's a shame, this isn't a bad app, however the thing which irritates me is that it's clearly designed to get users watching adverts. There are challenges, such as winning 5 games in a row. So I put it to a low - supposedly easier - level to complete the challenge faster, and it will let me win 3 or 4, but then the basic level starts playing like an expert and puts me back to zero.
To perform any action in this game requires you to watch an advert. My advice; put your phone on airplane mode.
Enjoyed this for a few days, but the algorithms become transparent pretty fast. I recommend trying a different version.

Update; I've just deleted this app, as it isn't even close to a true representation of Cribbage. It's supposed to be a game of skill - with a little luck thrown in. This version is completely pre-determined by the computer. Total waste of anyone's time. I've been a real life league player for several years, and I seriously recommend trying one of the other apps, as there's nothing to be learned from this one, and because it's all pre programmed the fun goes out of it very very quickly. I only gave it one star because zero isn't an option.

Ads cover up game play

I play the free version so I expect ads to pop up quite frequently. I use it as a moment to look away from the screen into the distance. However there is now an ad permanently covering up my opponents hand. I can’t see how many cards they have left, or what their hand is at the end of their match or their crib. Up until this happened I was happy playing the game and would have given it a 5 star rating.
Edit: since writing the above there haven’t been any further ads covering game play so increasing star rating from 3 to a 5.
