A fun, but shallow retro racer
Coming from Mobigame, famed for the still fantastic EDGE, I expected a lot from this. It's basically an old school arcade racing game, most similar to SEGA's Hang-On. It's very simplistic, with virtually no scenery, no route changes, and gameplay which involves little more than avoiding traffic and ramming into target vehicles.
It's fun in short bursts and runs at an impressive 60 frames per second even on an iPhone 3G. But there are issues, mainly with repetition - had this been more of an OutRun clone with scenery and route changes it would have had longer legs. Plus the soundtrack is weak, which is surprising after the fantastic work on Mobigames' EDGE.
It's also worth noting that there is some incredibly crude, and rude 'humour' in this, which is both out of place and utterly bizarre.
