All good now

I couldn't get this app to work in landscape mode on my iPhone. However, I deleted and downloaded the app again and it now works.

Good calculator.

Your phone is probably locked in portrait mode. You can unlock it in Control Center (swipe downward from the upper-right corner in iPhone X+). Another way to fix is to lock this app in landscape mode, which you can do in Settings panel (touch ON, then Settings at right top corner).

Very good [several edits]

This is a super calculator. I never did own a HP12C (I had a 42S) but this app shows me what I missed - and what a fantastic thing it is! … All wrapped up in a clean, tidy interface.
it seems a bit overweight though, no doubt to accommodate the (unwelcome) advertising.

I'm very pleased to have received a response from the developer, so I am adding an extra star to this review. However, I will take this opportunity to mention I was already aware of how to access the scientific version: I've been using it for years!

The extra splash-screen advertising referred to below, which obscures the calculator every second visit (I close the app every time it appears) may have calmed down a bit but still intrudes upon one's work.

[I just made the disastrous decision to update. I'd been coping with the cleverly placed advertising at top right of the calculator, which I thought was far more tasteful than most - and sometimes I even glanced at what was being advertised!
👺 But I am now rudely interrupted by a full sized splash screen, completely removing the calculator - which then needs to be re-accessed via a little click box.

Hi, the weight is due to the fact the app implements many different RPN flavors, including scientific and programming ones. BTW the scientific flavor is free too, touch ON to select the flavor.

This is an excellent app BUT - I had paid for the pro version (HP15c no advertising) but today it reverted to a HP12c with advertising - very disappointed - perhaps it was an update error? Update: it was my fault - I restored purchase and it is now ok. Great product!
