Could be great

There are some really good things about this app like the physics, graphics, simplicity and overall feel but four things that must change are:
-Default spin should be centre cue ball rather than slightly top spin based.
-it's fine to be able to swerve the cue ball but this should be optional or you should be able to control/adjust the angle of the cue to the table. In reality swerve isn't applied to the cue ball when playing with side spin when the cue is level to the table. It's very irritating to have the power of the shot affect the potting angle trajectory of the object ball on normal shots.
-the button cue ball you have to tap to bring the spin option up should be bigger to make it easier to press
-when the cue ball touches a side cushion it should not automatically remove any top/bottom spin

Developer Response ,

Thanks for all the feedback, it's very useful.

In the next update the spin will default to the centre of the ball. The small amount of swerve is realistic as the cue can't be perfectly level (because of the cushions). The power of the shot affects the potting angle because of the friction between the balls, this is accurate to real life.

Hugely Entertaining

Am enjoying this App after breaking myself in on “Easy” now on “Medium”! Graphics good and the ball moves round the table realistically, well done for that. I find on the i-Pad getting the direction arrows spot on extremely difficult, you just get it right and remove your finger and “hey presto” it snaps way off target! Not sure if it’s a bug or something I’m doing! Also on the cue I get the two finger for direction of object and cue ball but if after testing it due to “side” or “bottom” you need to readjust the angle you have to be extremely careful to take your fingers all the way to the top of the cue before removing them otherwise it’s a FOUL! Maybe that could be tweaked guys because it’s SO annoying giving a frame away for that!!
Having said all that a really good App, maybe just a few tweaks?
Latest review 07/03: Am now using “regular” control on low sensitivity and finding it a lot better, also worth the £1.99 to get rid of adverts. Since then top, break 67 and have progressed to “National” in tournament games! Playing regularly and really enjoying this App.
Just got rid of the adverts and along with them has gone the “next ball” reminder beneath the “live” player name??!! Regularly playing foul shots now!

Perfect ball physics - now try these new play rules....

Ball physics are the best, but you’ll find it ultimately boring, because shots are too easy. Play online with a friend, and one of you will be watching minutes on end while the other gets a huge break. Here’s how my son and I play to ensure we both get to actually play!
Each player gets to take up to two reds and two colours, and then the next red taken MUST be a safety shot. (If you score by mistake you must then do a tiny ‘cue fault’, which gives your opponent 4 points and the cue ball. (invent your own variation on these basic rules to cover the colours part). Playing this way means both players are constantly involved, and one rarely gets too far ahead. If your opponent gets more than 16 ahead, you are allowed to continue scoring but only till you cut the lead to 16. Over score by accident and, yep, it’s cue fault time. Try it and cut the boredom out of 2-person games.
