Much better than I expected
Really enjoying the game so far. I find it less predatory than Diablo immortal BUT nevertheless the pet system and the legendary traits can only be purchased with real money.
Other than that I am enjoying the game I hope the devs do not go down the road of making meta builds include paid unfarmable content.
Pets cost serious money with an atrocious drop rate. Play for free till the game is done. The odd legendary trait and Cosmetics,look nice, probably is the best and only way the devs should be supported
Broken
I played season one and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sadly I can’t play season 2 because it just black screens every time I try to create a new character. Looking around it seems I’m not the only person having this issue. Four days into the new season and this issue still hasn’t been addressed. Shame. It has also started crashing a lot on the old season that I am still able to play. Has promise but is broken for me and others.
(Edit)The devs are making improvements and I can now load the new season. So fair play to them for that👍 Still having crashes but I now have more confidence they will be fixed. Amended rating as a result.
(Edit)Ok. So after getting it to load the first boss fails to appear. It crashes and gets stuck at numerous points on the old server also. Maybe my iPad isn’t up to the job but that should be made clear before installation. It ran the first season fine. Uninstalled and score amended.
Could be a 5 star but
You want fun ARPG, the game delivers. It’s very path of exile inspired which is not a bad thing by any means and in a lot of cases they do some things even better. Been playing it mostly on pc but the times that ran it on the phone it actually handles well and responsive.
I really like that you are free to experiment with builds without spending resources till level 80.
What’s holding this game back in my opinion is the poorly implemented monetisation. From all the sponsored streams that I’ve seen coming up the launch there was always a mention that power would be bought on the shop. This was not true from hero on the battle pass to the stupid gatcha system for the pets the is absolutely power to be bought.
It could be a 4star game if the gatcha system for the pets were removed.
5start would be if the battle pass hero was also on the free path, even if it was at the end where only the most committed players would actually reach it.
