Ratings and Reviews
Mostly good
Sensors are great, easy and quick to pair, interface easy to understand, you can scroll the graphs back and forward to see more history. It can sometimes be a bit slow to load, but mostly ok. The one major thing is the alert notifications don’t push to your phone and come up on Lock Screen in real time, you only get the notification upon opening the app, requiring constant checking - defeats the purpose
Notifications don’t work
This is a very disappointing app. It’s almost great but is ruined by broken features. On the good side, it connects to my temp/humidity sensor quickly and with a good range. The measurements seem pretty accurate and the data is displayed in adequate graphs. It’s not amazing but it does the job.
Where it totally fails is with notifications. I have the app setup to alert me when temp or humidity thresholds are exceeded and I have notifications enabled. Despite this, the app doesn’t notify me if alerts are triggered, unless the app is open. If alerts have been triggered at some earlier point, these all suddenly appear the next time you open the app.
So something relating to the app connecting to the sensor and/or linking to iOS notifications isn’t working when the app is closed. This renders it’s notifications pointless and that renders the sensor largely pointless, unless you’re only interested in viewing historic data.
If you need alerts/notifications, don’t bother buying anything from this brand, you’ll be wasting your money.
To make this worse, they ignore customer support requests. So it appears they have little or no interest in fixing these fundamental issues.
The year view only shows the last week
What is the point of the year view if it only shows the last week?
And the day view would be more useful if it showed the last 48 hours - when looking at the data at lunchtime you can see what happened since midnight - OK - then compare what happened yesterday - and you cannot see beyond yesterday lunchtime - without going to the week view - and it is hard to understand the much smaller scale. Comparing a full day with the previous full day would be usefull.
Looking at the grid you have simple temperature degrees vertically, but 3 hours 20 minutes horizontally. A bit confusing to understand - to work out the speed at which the temperature is rising or falling.
