The TREASURE - Escape Game ‪-‬ 4+

Almost missed this as I usually deliberately look to pay as marker of a good game. Perhaps not quite as immersive as Room / Legacy / Ara type but overall up with Room series overall - I don’t say that lightly! Lovely graphics, long but most importantly perhaps the best of all I’ve played in intellectual challenge terms - requires attention. Great non-linear puzzles and avoids shuffle-board type ones + pleasing puzzle themes that build up through the game; very original and with a sensible internal logic for room transitions. [slight spoiler] requires utter diligence in checking all aspects of rooms and objects, including things that happen ‘behind your back’ but with a sensible logic; if something seems unused usually means you haven’t twigged it’s purpose, sometimes repeated on a theme - frustrating at points but a satisfying logic once solved; some relatively hidden objects but not random tapping type. Will very much appeal to a certain type of person [spoiler ends].
Congratulations to developers - would happily pay for another.

Was happy to stumble across this, it’s amazing for a free game. Whenever I thought I was getting near the end, another level would open up. I can easily get bored with some of the escape games, I’ve been finding some of the Haiku games are being dumbed-down too much. But this really taxed my brain at times. I’ve never had to ask for so many hints!!
But that’s not to put anyone off. As another reviewer observed, once you watch the video for the hint you suddenly go ‘oh of course’. And I like the way they don’t give you the answer straight away, they’re revealed gradually, almost as though the hints can sometimes be a puzzle in themselves.
Will now look out for more from this developer.

Very hard in parts but totally fair and logical. The developers have really put their minds to this - it’s original and immersive. I had to use the hints a couple of times but kicked myself afterwards. Examine every nook and cranny - there’s often something you missed first time round. I particularly liked the way early puzzles and objects would change function and become relevant again later in the game. Congrats on an excellent escape room
