Content is great!

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I appreciate the problems regarding synchronisation and did unlock the course and tools, which was very helpful for reading on a tablet. I have not been able to find a quarterly payment plan for this app when searching within Subscriptions. A quarterly plan would be very helpful.

I love the content of the app. Have read books about a compassionate mindset and this app really helps to develop self compassion and a compassionate mind. It would be nice though to synchronise the content between devices. While it is great to have the app on the phone, I cannot read the content of the course well and switch to my tablet. But because of lack of synchronisation, the course is at a different levels on the two devices. The other point is the payment. I understand that £50 is a reasonable amount for such good content, on the level of a therapy session if you are lucky, but it is still a lot of money to pay in one go for some. It would be nice to have a choice of monthly payments.

Hi there! Thanks for taking time to leave us a review - I am glad you're enjoying the app. Unfortunately, yes due to security and privacy reasons, the data does not sync across devices. I'm sorry about this and any inconvenience this may cause for you! The best way around this is by unlocking the tools and course sessions in the settings, allowing you to dive into whichever practice you would like on either device at any point. Additionally, we do have the option to listen which might help you with the wisdoms, so that you don't need to rely on reading them on your phone screen? Thanks for your feedback about price too - we have found people generally prefer the yearly (unfortunately we don't have a monthly or quarterly option) price point, but understand this can be a lot to pay. A really useful app that’s become part of daily practice

I found the app after a recommendation from a friend. First I tried the three free days and found the course incredibly useful. I found it different from all the other apps I had, that were just listening. I feel the fact that there are prompts to write a short reflection really useful and it stops and makes you think about what you have heard. I like that it will send you reminders about what you have learnt that day and that you get a choice of voices to listen to. I also like the calendar function and that you can see what you have done over time. It’s a really well thought app, that I didn’t really think I needed until I started using it. All of the extra skills have been useful as well as the course and it’s these I use on a daily basis to help with calm and self compassion.
I highly recommend the app to anyone who wants some extra support and direction when it comes to self compassion. Try the app for the three free days and you won’t be disappointed.

The app I’ve been waiting for!

Thank you, Chris & Elaine for developing this amazing app. It’s a great standalone app for understanding yourself better and how to be more compassionate with yourself and others. As a therapist, this app really helps me to ‘practice what I preach’ in my daily work and I am noticing the benefits to myself in my personal life. The clients I have recommended this app to are reporting they are finding it enormously helpful and easy to engage with on a daily basis. It is a great resource for therapists to refer their clients to, with tangible benefits to their progress in therapy. I am also finding that for those who like the app but fancy a deeper dive into some of the modules, the developers’ ‘Compassionate Mind Workbook’ is a great complementary resource that can be used alongside the app, with the app providing the relevant guided practices that the workbook refers to. I have also recommended the app to a number of close friends and family members and planning to ‘gift’ it to to one or two people for Christmas - the ultimate gift that keeps on giving!
