The Metronome by Soundbrenner 4+

I never actually write reviews but this app really deserves some appreciation. Soundbrenner has become a vital tool in practising for me and seriously love it. There could be some better features though, I wish we could set a specific amount of time that should be taken up practising in order to start a streak rather than playing everyday, e.g. 6 hours a week. Sometimes I like to rest and make up the missing hours on another day, so like miss a day and practise 2 hours the next. It’d be cool to add in a tuner too - like making it the only app a musician needs rather than downloading other apps. Seriously love it though.

Edit: not sure if this would be reviewed again but thank you for the reply. I meant to suggest an edit to streak goals as there is no option for specific committed hours throughout a week rather than how many days of practising a week. Awesome that there’s a tuner though, updated to 5 stars but still can’t seem to find the tuner.

Hi I am a seventy years old drummer. The problem I have is the older I get my concentration and drive is getting worse. I hate using a click track, and I now have managed to master using tap and flash app on my I pod. The problem with this is, I now play with a 20 piece big band and it is very important for reading music to be spot on. So when I am concentrating watching the flash my reading is a bit dodgy.

Then I heard about the Soundbrenner, which is a simple but very clever idea.
At first I struggled to find a part of my body that I could use. I even bought your longer strap but that did not help either. So I was ready to forget about the whole thing but I found a spot at the back of my head that felt would work.
So I adjusted the strap and put it on my head, and it was the spot I was looking for. The problem with that it made me look like a half boiled sixties hippie. So I got my baseball cap and looped the cap adjustment strap through the brenners strap, put the cap on
pressing the brenner firmly to the spot at the back of my head
Problem Solved.!!!!!!
So I am wondering if there is a cap that you stock that does this. If not just think of the potential it would have with a cap with Soundbrenner on it. Also some drummers like myself, don't like other members of the band to know that they are using any form of metronome, so as long as the flash is off nobody would know.

This metronome app does exactly what it says on the tin. There are quite a lot of cool features for connecting with other apps on your desktop or laptop. They also have a metronome watch that keeps the time for you by vibrating. Basically they have created a really solid and reliable metronome, then have tried to think about how they could make the app better and more useful for musicians. Although I don’t use a lot of the extra things and generally stick to the metronome I think they have done a great job with what they set out to accomplish. Would definitely recommend this to family and friends.
