The Manga Works 4+

This is a game that came out 2010 and finally been translated to English. This is one of kairosoft classic games. You are a manga writer and need to level up your skills. If you love kairosoft you will love this game.

Okay I did like this game, started off as fun and finally something good. However, it became slow and boring, nothing happens:( would be nice to make it more similar to Game Dev

In short: This game is absolutely phenomenal, and has very little to do with Anime Studio, so don't think it's a carbon copy - not even close.

Kairosoft have been on a roll lately, releasing English titles closely behind their Japanese counterparts. Some have been good, some not so good, but I'm pleased to say this innocuous looking little title is so well put together I'd say I've had more fun with it than any of their titles since World Cruise Story.

A return to simpler times, you're a starving artist just starting in the manga scene. When you aren't drawing, you sleep, you go out, and you can improve your house and move to bigger surroundings. You also have full control over the direction your manga takes: for example, you can choose to create a Battle Manga with Karate in a stadium, which works well with young boys, or you can create a ghost story in a house, a dramatic monster story, a love story for girls - it's all there to draw as you please. As you progress, you unlock new scenarios and ideas, upgrade your skills, improve your energy to allow for more work to be done... And the tutorial does a great job of showing you the ropes in what could otherwise be a confusing ride.

I might find the game gets boring or irritating later on, but after a few hours so far I'm loving it. I'm hoping they'll release a Lite version for those who might be on the fence about this. It really is a great return to the well put-together games of their past, not convoluted with odd design choices.
