The Fitness Chef App is a health & fitness app that helps you reach your fat loss and muscle gain goals. This app provides a simple, flexible, effective way to track, sustain and enjoy your fitness journey. It will help you focus on the important things while eating what you love and getting lasting results.
The app is designed for all people and all health & fitness goals. You will receive personalised nutrition targets and can customise these targets at any time, or switch between daily or weekly tracking to allow more flexibility in your social life.
The app has over 700 delicious calorie/macro counted recipes and many filters making it easy to find recipes you love that fit your goals. Whether you are vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan or eat everything, there are plenty of balanced, filling recipes for everyone. There is also a shopping list for your convenience.
Included is a verified food database with over 1 million items which allows you to create and save your own meals and quickly add branded foods via the barcode scanner.
You can sync the app to your favourite health app or wearable device to automatically track activity in real time. Logging exercise, including gym workouts is easy and gives you a historical timeline of your new PBs!
Progress charts for nutrition, body and activity are relaxed, but focused on the important stuff. They enable you to see progress over time, allowing you to make adjustments to stay on track.
Mental health and your relationship with food is important which is why we have a feature that allows you to record how you're feeling and how much you're enjoying what you eat.

Pretty good, needs a few tweaks to be excellent
Trying this app for the first time and coming from Lose It which is fine if not a bit ugly/not fully intuitive.
Lots of great recipes which I appreciate and the core of the app is great - it is new so I imagine with a few tweaks it could be really excellent.
For me I would love the ability to customise the grams/other units when entering food in a more intuitive way - for example if something is 128 grams I have to make a guess at what the decimal or fraction would be rather than being able to enter 128g directly which makes me worry about how accurate it is recording my food and whilst it’s fine to do that calculation when I’m at home with time on my hands it becomes much harder when I’m rushing around trying to track food on the go.
Secondly, the ability to pair with the main fitness appa like Strava. I know the focus isn’t on doing sports to lose weight but it all plays into your ability to accurately stay within a calorie deficit so that’s a big thing for me.

Great app and recipes
Having used other apps like My Fitness Pal and Weight Watchers, this one is far better in my opinion - there are no food “categories” (eg. silly point values for a piece of chocolate and “free food” type scenarios) and you can find tons of recipes that are quick, filling and don’t break the bank. The scan works really well and you can create your recipes and save them for a quick add in future. You can track weight and/or measurements if you wish. The whole concept from The Fitness Chef, reflected on this app, allows for a better relationship with food. It’s calories in and calories out, nice and steady weight loss without deprivation and unsustainable restrictions. And if you don’t follow this chap on instagram, just check him out. The videos are masterpieces! And the messaging is on point. Fab value for money.

Fantastic and easy to use!
After following The Fitness Chef for a while and loving his funny, honest and extremely helpful content, I didn’t hesitate to sign up to his new app!
It’s everything I was looking for and so much more. It’s really easy use (after a day or two of exploring how everything works) and is helping me greatly with tracking all of my calories and sticking to my goals.
The huge range of recipes are incredible too. I have made quite a few recipes in the last two weeks and so far the Tex-Mex Beef and Rice is my favourite. I cannot wait to try out more.
I had one small issue last week and the customer service emailed me back within hours and helped me solve the issue quickly.
The app is truly worth every penny, I love it.
