Description

From Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning developer behind Skyrim and Fallout Shelter, comes The Elder Scrolls: Castles – a new mobile game that puts you in control of your very own castle and dynasty. Oversee your subjects as the years come and go, families grow, and new rulers take the throne.

BUILD YOUR DYNASTY

Tell your story for generations - each day in real life covers the span of an entire year in The Elder Scrolls: Castles. Train your subjects, name heirs, and maintain order to help your kingdom flourish. Will you keep your subjects happy and ensure a long life for their ruler? Or will they grow discontent and plot assassination?

MANAGE YOUR CASTLE

Customize your castle from the ground up, adding and expanding rooms, placing lavish decorations and inspirational monuments, and even assign subjects to workstations to ensure your castle has the resources to thrive for years to come!

RULE YOUR KINGDOM

Make key decisions that impact your legacy. Will you risk a limited supply of food to aid a neighboring kingdom? How should a heated spat between your subjects be settled? Your choices determine if your rule will inspire prosperity or lead your castle to peril.

COMPLETE EPIC QUESTS

Create heroes, equip them with epic gear, and send them to battle against classic Elder Scrolls foes to collect valuable items and keep your kingdom growing.

Fantastic! However…

I would like to first say this is a wonderfully laid out game. The interaction details are spot on, children speaking to parents and the parent playing with them amongst many other wonderful details.

I had two male residents have a baby. Is this supposed to happen or a glitch?

The rewards for decades of being on the throne do not scale up properly.
I also feel when you’ve done a year there should always be a prize instead of some years being locked and only opened if you pay real money. Seems petty.

Also I’ve ran out of work stations or jobs for all my residents. Some of them are jobless. Please add more station options or perhaps the ability to add more than one.

A nursery for the babies would be ideal. And maybe a meeting room to gain skill points etc
Lots of options.

Thanks :-)

It’s okay - but the death of civs is a bad design

Game can be fun to play, however what really is disgusting is the design behind civilians dying. You spend real money to get a gold card civilian then they die. If you dont revive them thats a waste of cash. So after a while if you do not have more babies you just lose out on momentum and can no longer sustain the city. Just seems too greedy of a design. Should have followed the fallout mechanics. Would have been better. You just get forced to play daily otherwise you will have no more interest to come back to it knowing your people are too old to sustain themselves now.

I don’t need the dev to reply to this message. It’s useless as your response is utterly unreliable since its written by an AI for your to copy paste. There is no interest is making your game better. All I will get is a “I’m sorry to hear this and that, I will inform my team and we will THINK about it” and that is the key word “think” meaning it’ll be in the dumpster. As long as they make money they would not care, and if they dont male money they will make another greedy game. Usual phenomenon with mobile games. Devs are too distant from making worth while games nowadays.

Becomes unplayed once you reach higher levels

Played this game nonstop when it came out. Loved how you can upgrade and expand your castle, loved the ruling and managing aspect, the traits of different characters, questing. All the little elements make the castle feel so much more ‘alive’ than fallout shelter. So I made a lot of progress pretty quickly and was levelling fast. But once you reach around level ~150, you need ‘rare’ materials to upgrade anything.
Armour, weapons, stations, tools, everything needs rare materials, which you can only acquire from farming dragon quests - and the dragons only drop between 2 and 9 of ONE type of material every time (so you might get 4 marble, which is used for stations, or you might get 2 corundum, which is used for armour. And you need around 70 marble to upgrade one station…)
The other way to get these mats is opening packs, which you can get by - you guessed it - spending cash. It’s a shame to see such a great game ruined by P2W. If they fixed the dragon drops to 10-20 mats each time, it would be worth it. But right now, it’s not worth playing.
