The "Practice Mode" Update!
Hey Adventurous Eaters! We’re very excited to bring you the latest, tastiest update yet – The Practice Mode update - perfect to help encourage real-life food exploration!
Ever wished your monster could help your little one be brave at dinner time? Well, wish granted! Now, you can dive into Practice Mode and pick the exact fruits and veggies you’re trying in real life!
Here's the juicy stuff you need to know:
- Explore foods as you eat them: Having broccoli tonight? (Yes, the mini trees!) Just select broccoli in Practice Mode, and your little one can explore it in a way that’s both fun and fearless! They can sniff, squish, and taste the foods at the dinner table, right alongside their monster in the game.
- Make food education in the classroom more fun: Learning about lemons? Pick the lemon and play the smell game together. Challenge kids to describe that lemony zing!
- Support sensory education: Explore and describe different sensations! Select a strawberry in Practice Mode and use the Smell Table to describe its sweet fragrance. Place an pineapple on the Touch table to feel its spiky skin - helping kids connect words to their sensory experiences.
This new feature makes trying new foods feel like playtime. Kids can see their monster take the first bite, so they’re not going in alone. It’s a safe space to explore foods and become an adventurous eater, one little nibble at a time!

I lifesaver for any parent with a fussy eater!
This game is wonderful. It’s really helped my 3 year old daughter who has become a picky eater over the past year. She’s now trying new fruit and veg every day all because her monster did that in the game. She loves playing the game, sings the songs constantly and most importantly, the whole family is eating healthily again. I can’t recommend this enough!

This is music to our ears! Sometimes it just takes a little role-modelling from their monsters for kids to be brave enough to try a new fruit or veg.
We love how the friendly monsters don't always like the foods they try - that's ok, next time they might!

Has MADE a fussy eater!
Simply, the monster your child is teaching to be more adventurous at trying food goes ‘eurgh!’ at the sights and smells of foods, shakes head, and doesn’t want to try or show any signs of enjoying trying a new thing. This behaviour has rubbed off on our child! Deleting, and leaving this warning for other parents. (An otherwise we’ll designed game)

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Sometimes some monsters (just like some children) don’t immediately like foods they try. Aligned with the academically approved Sapere method of sensory food learning, this game suggests that it’s ok if you don’t like a food, and that you could give a little try, because maybe next time you’ll like it… so have another go.
It’s been proven that it can take children multiple times of trying a food before they develop a taste for it.
Sometimes, just starting by looking, touching or smelling a food, can encourage a child to be a little braver, and a little less scared of fruit and veg.
This is what the game shows through the characters and the voice over, and it’s been proven to encourage children to eat a wider variety of fruit and vegetables both in schools and homes across the globe.
Apart from your feedback about a monster disliking foods, we’re pleased you otherwise think the game is well-designed.
We really hope you do give the game another try, to see how it encourages everyone (no matter how much they may dislike foods on first impression) to give things a little try using all of their senses.
