Description
The aim of this App is to have key features conveniently at your fingertips and move issues you’d call the call centre for to be submitted and progressed via the app.
Bin Collection features:
* Now you can report a missed bin collection and get an update to say whether we can come back and collect it or wait until the next collection.
* Click on a bin collection to see what can be put in it.
Report It features:
* Help us trial our new reporting feature. Currently we’re testing litter reporting but will add more categories later.
Compatible with devices on iOS 9 and upwards.

Disappointing update
This app was very useful, but the recent update now wants to know my location (you’ve had my postcode) and my name.
I can accept putting this in if I need to report anything, but just to use the app??
The cynic might suggest Tameside are checking users against addresses and the council tax.
App is now Rubbish!
Recent up date requires user to put in name before it will work. I only want to see collection dates for bins not go on some cyber witchhunt to report non-bin collections (it will get collected again, trust me)and potentially report folk who drop litter. App therefore deleted and I’ve gone back to old school and printed chart off from the website. What a shame, the app had potential ☹️
Update in response to developer comments: my point is I want a simple app to see what bins are due to be collected. At the point there is interaction to report a bin that has not been collected it is then that any personal info should be provided not personal info to merely open the app and browse in the first place.

We’d like to assure the public there is no “cyber witchhunt”. Your name is asked for if any communication is needed between TMBC and the app user for the new reporting feature.
If there is a strong objection to storing your names then we will make amendments on a later release. In this case you do have a choice so please feel free to use the paper bin schedule.
It is disappointing to see this one comment has resulted with you giving the App 1 star. Have you tried the new reporting feature and like to give comment on that?
Reports closed nothing done
Sadly I have reported fly tipping 3 times and each time the report gets closed with various excuses like already reported by someone else or we’ve cleared this already (looks out the window and it’s still there🤣) or we’ve passed this on to someone else.
It would make more sense to me to close a report when the rubbish has been removed. I hope you have more luck with this. Great for knowing when the bins are being collected and that’s it.
