Fantastic fun

I have previously been making a few short videos using text to speech apps, but how great it is to be able to fit speech properly to faces. I’ve had so much fun with this - worth every penny.

It also seems to me the best of the ones I have seen so far. I have now also worked out how to add to the range of voices, male and female, in different languages (thanks for developer response), and can now say for sure that I have had more fun with this app than any other one I have downloaded (other than the basic ones!) One of the things I am now using it for is putting faces on language learning audio files to make it a bit more exciting.

You can download more iOS voices from Settings->Accessibility->Spoken Content->Voices. Unfortunately you have to do this again with each iOS update when Apple reinstalls the operating system.

Epic! + Idea

This app is good, especially since I am thinking of doing VTubing. One thing that I can request is the option for different facial expressions or emotions, then that way it won’t look like the character is creepily staring into your soul as it speaks its words. It just seems wrong for no expression to be displayed at all. If you can do this then I would feel somewhat better, but if you want to make goofy videos (or try out VTubing like me!) then you should totally get this app! ><

Gets the job done!

Talkr is likely the best of what is available on IOS for face animation. It can be fiddly to set up, and doesn’t always go as planned. But with a bit of effort a very good result can be achieved. Charging almost 9 quid to remove the logo, and almost 3 quid for what amounts to more space for other faces is literally the price we have to pay. I would be inclined to pay another fiver, if there was additional control over facial movement. Perhaps alternate teeth, cat style blinking, etc. Also, how about a one touch recording and saving to Photos, as opposed to recording, then the app screen recording again?
