The TaHoma app allows you to stay connected to your home from your smartphone or tablet.
Simply connect your devices such as roller shutters, curtains, lighting or security and heating systems to TaHoma. You can now control them from the TaHoma app, even remotely, or by voice, adding a voice assistant (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit).
TaHoma is compatible with a wide range of devices from Somfy and major home appliance brands (Velux, Philips Hue, Sonos, etc.). You can add new ones at any time.Create a comfortable connected home with TaHoma!

It is quite handy for security being able to open and close the blinds when you are away from home so that it appears somebody is in the house. However when you tap ‘close’ the blind does not close absolutely every time notwithstanding the app shows ‘closed’. I know this is possible because it has happened when I’m actually at home. If it wasn’t possible to show ‘closed’ unless the blind was really closed you’d know to give it another tap in the app.

Needs Geo-location.
I bought Tahoma Switch to control our blind and garage door. It is great for controlling the blinds but I am disappointed that Tahoma does not have Geo-location. I was going to buy “Connexoon” ( which did have Geo-location) but then saw that they brought out Tahoma switch which they said was more advanced and had more features. I rang Somfy and their help desk told me that Tahoma had Geo-Location. I bought Tahoma and it does not have Geo-location?? I emailed Somfy to ask about this and they replied that you can use the “I arrive” scene. However, the “I arrive” scene can only be used manually and there is nowhere to enter any Geo-location parameters. I emailed back but got no reply. Charlie Robinson.

Functional & easy to use
The Somfy app is very easy to navigate around to do what you want. If you have multiple blinds to control it’s quick to select the right blind and do exactly what you want. Setting up events to happen at set times is simple too. I like the fact that it uses different graphics for each type of room, but most of all I really like the fact that it’s reliable and works exactly as it should do.
