Tab - The simple bill splitter 4+

I’ve become the de facto accountant of the friends group now when we go out! Tab makes it easy for everyone to split and pay what they have instead of just dividing equally which can get messy, tedious not to mention unfair to the people who have less! I also like the interface, simple and to the point, text-based sharing rather than requiring everyone to create accounts etc.

I took one star off because the OCR doesn’t work consistently. Inputting a receipt with 10+ items is not an option. I hope the developers constantly exploring options to improve thi’s bottle neck! There are many AI innovations in OCR these days, it’s good to keep up!

This App does exactly what it says on the tin. The interface is intuitive, and offers every option I can think of. On the rare occasion that the bill scanner OCR misses an item, it’s easy to add it manually. One can let one diner pay zero, if, for example, it’s their birthday, one can divide things like appetisers amongst the friendship group members, or, as the excellent FAQ explains, divvy it up where one diner eats 9 tacos, and the other just 1. One can set the tip in % or as a fixed, manually entered sum, which is then applied proportionately, across the diners, according to their meal cost. A top class App, that I wholeheartedly recommend! I tried around 10 others, but this far surpasses any other IMHO. IB

Ever tried to split a bill whilst at a restaurant. It can get so embarrassing while everyone try’s to chip in on the working out. Really wish I had came across this app sooner. Simply took a picture of the bill. Selected who had what, bang a price to pay for each party. It even worked discounts out.
