Description
Connect wirelessly to a Syrp motion control product with the Syrp App, a beautifully simple mobile app that accommodates both beginners through to experienced filmmakers and photographers. The app is extremely easy to use and allows you to sync multiple devices together for shooting motion control of up to 3-axis. Also included are quick setup tutorials and help screens to help make sure you are up and running as quickly as possible.

Ikea rotating egg timer is better than Genie mini II out of the box
UPDATE 30th Nov: Syrp support was very responsive - unfortunately the experience of bad device firmware coordination with this iPhone app versioning dented my confidence in this product. Had the firmware update via Bluetooth had not been borked out of the box the story may have been very different. :)

Looking for Syrp to redeem themselves. A brand new Genie Mini II (£200+) out of the box is useless until the latest firmware is installed. However, the install must happen over Wifi/Bluetooth. The update is done via this Syrp app only and is buggy. After several hours reading forums and repeating the firmware update procedure (have tried waving a rubber chicken whilst hopping on one leg whilst restarting the app and making sure the iPhone is touching the Genie Mini II )- no success.
May have to return reluctantly to using an IKEA rotating egg timer. Shame.
Extremely buggy
Previous versions had issues but were usable; since updating I’ve had many problems with the app.
After setting up a 3 axis move and pressing the record button nothing happens. I have to delete the app and reinstall until it happens again. Very frustrating and unreliable. Hope it gets fixed soon.
Not connecting
The Genie2 app found the device Genie mini 2 but was unable to connect to it. I tried everything I could possibly think of: reinstall app, reboot my iPhone, restart device, tried on a second Genie mini 2 ... but nothing works. An expensive kit is now useless. I would give zero star if I could.
