Sven's SudokuPad 4+

I didn’t buy this app for a long time, despite being a big CTC fan, because I didn’t see the point of it! However now that every CTC puzzle now contains a link to open the puzzle in the app, I now have a history of hundreds if not thousands of puzzles to have a go at, all for the price of a half a beer!

The only thing I can think of that needs improving is that some kind of puzzle sync across devices would be very helpful. OneDrive/iCloud/Dropbox please!

I also miss DailyKillerSudoku’s handy number reckoner but that’s because I’m bad at arithmetic. I assume that something like this doesn’t exist in this app already means it will never be implemented.

This app provides the handy annotation tools that Simon & Mark use in their excellent CTC sudoku puzzle videos. Good value if planning to use the link below their videos to upload any of their puzzles to try yourself (once you have purchased this app). No other reason to buy however.

By far the best sudoku app. As the app doesn’t come with a vast range of puzzles pre-loaded you’ll need to know where to source puzzles yourself. This however is not a problem for myself.

The reason for the drop in two stars is due to the lack in updates the app gets. Compared to the web version of the app which receives updates regularly and even has a beta version for new features, the iOS version updates are seemingly far and few between.
There’s lots of new features available on the web version which I wish were available on the app also.

The puzzle library is also very clunky. I wish there were better ways of sorting and storing different puzzles and more customisation available (folders would be great addition here).
