Good but needs improvements
I pray Allah blesses the brothers for facilitating a platform for practising brothers and sisters to seek marriage the halal way ameen
Some suggested improvements/bugs:
- App does not work unless connected to wifi (automatically logs out)
- Some profiles have bugs eg does not allow me to click a brother’s profile/will repeat the same profile when I click a different one (glitch).
- Optional comment for why a profile is rejected
- A feature to show when the profile was last active/logged into (sometimes you don’t get a response)
- Additional filters - eg creed/manhaj to filter salafi as a lot of non salafis have joined the app.
- Additional filter - specific location city eg London, height,
- potentially personality type?
- An option/tick box to ask brothers to send a picture to the Wali’s number

Good concept
I have been using SunnahMatch for quite a while now and when I first started using it, it was great. You pay and then you have a number of requests you can give and you can accept or reject any that come your way, simple. Now you can join but a free version where you can’t send requests or even accept them?? Recently I have found a few good matches but because they are on the free version they cant accept or reject my request. Instead people are putting email addresses or social media in their bio’s to ask people to get in touch which defeats the point of this being a halal matchmaking service.
Furthermore, I’ve had a bug/issue with filtering my matches for over 6 months and I have sent emails to customer service and have had no real response from them.
UX / Features needs improving
- Ide recommend having the option to select multiple ethnicity.
- Do not include profiles on the search directory of those that have been declined.
- Include the filter option for height.
- Feedback should be transparent when being declined, this should be optional where the end user can write something or choose from a list of options.
- Integrated support without emailing having have to email and get no response.
