Sudoku Joy - Sort Number Games 12+

I have only tried Sudoku out of all the games in this package but I have been looking for a long time for a sudoku app that I like and this is it! It must allow me to easily enter notes as I do in the real paper game. This one does, and intelligently removes them when they are eliminated as options, and speeds things up by offering the remaining number when there is only one left in a row or square. Its record-keeping of your scores is another nice touch. Definitely a good find!

I debated whether to give it 3 or 4 stars, but because it is very good and a lot of work has gone into developing this version of Sudoku, I've given it 4.

The fact I have not given it 5 is because I think it needs to be a stand alone Sudoku, minus all the other unwanted games, also as a pro version where I personally would gladly pay for (at a reasonable price of course), to be rid of the infuriatingly silly ads. This would then meet with all the Sudoku enthusiasts approval I'm sure, as Sudoku is all we want!

I think it would be nice too if I could play music from my own library in the background whilst playing Sudoku. A colour pallet maybe, for more theme choice.

But the one thing that really prevented me from giving it 5 stars was the fact that to get more hints, you have to watch a video ad, really mean is that! As if there isn't enough silly ads interrupting and breaking ones concentration as it is. It should be that you are awarded hints as you solve the puzzles, maybe every 5 puzzles.

When I see these changes made in an update, I'll up my rating to 5 stars, as this Sudoku version has the potential to be the best in the field by a country mile!

I used to play Sudoku years ago before I had an iPad, it was pencil and paper then and I played every day. When I saw this app I was tempted. I was a bit rusty at first, I had forgotten the set formula for playing but after the first game it came back. It is a brilliant game and very absorbing you have to be methodical and patient then you can’t lose, also I never put all these possible numbers in unsolved squares I find it confusing and unnecessary it’s logic that wins out.
