Description
View subtitles on your iOS device synchronized with television or movies on your TV, or at the cinema. Brilliant for when you're at a cinema watching a movie, and you need subtitles in your native language! Great for the hard of hearing and deaf community.
Satisfied users have described this app as "awesome" and "a godsend".
Subtitles available in English, Spanish(Español), Arabic(العربية), Bengali, Chinese(中文), Danish(dansk), Dutch(Nederlands), French(français), German(Deutsch), Greek(ελληνικά), Japanese(日本語), Javanese(basa Jawa), Hebrew(עברית), Italian(italiano), Korean(한국어), Malay(bahasa Melayu), Polish(język polski), Portuguese(português), Punjabi, Russian(русский язык), Sweden(Svenska), Thai(ไทย), Turkish(Türkçe) and Vietnamese(Tiếng Việt).
Subtitles are downloaded from the huge database of subtitles at opensubtitles.org. As subtitles are contributed to opensubtitles by volunteers, the time it takes for subtitles to become available after a movie release can vary.
Download three subtitles for free. Credits for more downloads are available via in-app purchases.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR AUSTRALIAN USERS: The Australian Federal Court has passed a motion to demand that ISPs block subtitles sites, which prevents searching and downloading of subtitles within Subtitles Viewer via Australian ISPs. Uploading subtitles still works in the app. Many apologies for this inconvenience. For more information, see http://subtitlesviewer.com/subtitlesAustralia.html

Ratings and Reviews
See AllWhat an incredible app!
Picture the scene, you’re on holiday in Mallorca and just realised that you’re about to witness what Deadpool & Wolverine sound like in badly dubbed Spanish. A quick search on the App Store and I’m downloading Subtitles Viewer. A few taps and the subtitles are downloaded and playing n sync with the movie. The result, movie saved!
Good app, great for ITV player
Very good, once you get the hang of it. Easy to go forward or back a bit if it's not quite in synch, providing you can hear enough to match speech to subtitles. It's tricky with the adverts - you have to stop the subtitles, and then start them again when the adverts finish. But overall it's pretty good.
Long shot
I took a punt, turns out there is an app for you to have subtitles when everyone else doesn’t want them. If only I could focus on both screens at the same time.
